It was 1981 in San Diego. The '70s had come and gone, that decade having taken with it all the excesses bestowed upon it by the '60s, the hippie decade that came before. The 1980s began without much form, but we knew we didn't want it be like the 1970s.

 

So there we all were then as the '80s took hold. There was no MTV yet, and we were all these young dudes, dressed oddly for the town and the time, looking to make the best music that we could all agree upon (democracy is a bitch!). But we did alright! At the very least, we made MUSIC THAT MOVES!

 

It was the tail end of the first Wednesday of the second wave of the punk music revolution of 1981, and...
